"En Dónde Está Mi Amiga" by Gustavo Araya
Original India Ink Drawing; Signed and Titled

In his biography, Gustavo describes himself and his work as “... an artist that never grew up nor wanted to.”
Gustavo’s whimsical and colorful paintings are a treat that one never grows tired of. There is always something more to see in each piece. Whether in Indian ink or oil these fantasy pieces bring humor and sometimes sadness to your heart. He is
famous for writing his prose in many pieces al verso. You can view the artist's drawing and notes.
Images of cats and the occasional paper airplane are evident in each "frame" of this drawing and are a recurring symbol in many of his works. With a reverse side drawing or detailed notes, it could be most appropriate to mount between
glass. The fine art paper measures 8 x 11.
Exhibiting since 1995, Gustavo Araya's works in oil and ink drawings have won awards and his works are found in the permanent collection of the Museo de Arte y Diseño Contemporáneo (MADC), San José, Costa Rica. He has won an award in Arte
